The non-human living beings

20 minutes ago i wanted to be a good girl and finish my report. Now, the page is still blank and i can't get a move on. The incident yesterday is still roiling through my mind, and it's stabbing me with guilt.

I was driving home in the afternoon, not long after leaving Merawan Alam Damai heading for the last traffic light b4 reaching my house, i drove my 1400kg car over a dead doggy, n the doggy experienced second-time-drove-over. The car was rocked quite a bit and i could feel the front left wheel went over something 'quite hard'... it should be the doggy's head... (sorry i know it's ruthless! >.<) I was completely numbed and saddened by wad happened. A voice from no-where "what have you done?!" came even stronger than the song 'fall for you' by Secondhand Serenade played on hitz.fm. I did noticed there's 'something' on the road from 50m away actually, and i thought it was a map or bag simply dumped by people. Just the moment before driving over the 'thing', i realized it's a Dog.

As i reached home, i talked nothing n handed the car key back to my dad then walked upstairs. I kept on apologizing in my heart cuz there was nothing else i could do. Sorry.... God bless the doggy please...

Over the last few months, the population of stray cats roaming around our double storey shoplots is growing. Among the stray kitties, the only one which visits my house most often is him-- Yellojii (don't ask me y tis name)

Cats meow to get wad they wan- food, attention, affection. The moment i open the folding door every morning , he's already there staring with his big, luminous eyes (hey gorgeous, good morning~ :P)

If we have an amount of food left after meals, we'll just top up the food dish outside our shop. There was once we had nothing to give him. He meowed excessively to start demanding for more attention. As the saying goes-- Ignore them, they'll leave. (it's applicable in situation of meeting 'those' thing too, ignore them! or maybe fight back using foul words XP)

After washing the dishes and getting ready to run upstairs for shower, to my surprise he was still there with his legs buckled. By glancing at him, i had hard time ignoring his vocal blackmail. I let myself sneaked back into the kitchen, tried to see if there's anything for him, ikan bilis, prawn cracker, fish flavored cracker..... (no kidding tis fella loves Double Decker Pranky Prawn) The food cabinet was foraged again and again, aiy crackers were out of stock! I checked the last tupperware, n i found the last and only dau sha beng. I brought it our without further consideration.

I knelt down n gently touched his head.

"Here puss, this is all i have."

To my surprise, he ate it. Grind grinds grind...... 1st bite..... 2nd bite...... What?!?! Don't want already?!!?!?!?

I tried to place the dau sha beng right in front of his mouth (too lazy to move his neck maybe)...

n tis is how he treated me.... =.=''

Knowing that he would never want my dau sha pau anymore, i gave up dealing with tis choosy kitty.

*me : sui zai bau, ignorance in appreciating nice food..
*yellojii : where on earth u get tat... Eeewww!!...........

Here's some flashback spending time with tis kitty...

* his 'kai ma'- the grocery shop aunty

*present to u-- his masterpiece

* nice to see, nice to hold

*** this is his elder brother, quite greyish in colour

Beats me why parents in malaysia feed their children disinformation like animals are dirty, they hav disease.....bla bla bla..... and tis info is passed on to the next n next generation. This is why animals in m'sia get not much love. Also, the roadkill cases go unreported and worse still. A person in malaysia will be sentenced to a three-days jail n RM200 fine for animal abuse, n tis is too linient!

Animals are living beings, not inanimate object. They deserve the respect we demand for ourselves. Animals do not enjoy wearing clothes, nor it's not necessary for them 2 wear it, they do not enjoy hair/fur dyeing as well. Plz la human, if u want to offer protection, why not do more on making 'protective clothes' for our Earth which is exposed to global warming threat.

Animals are not made to be enslaved. Try spend time around a dog or a cat (rat or lizard maybe :P) u will find that these animals can feel sadness, love, pain, fear n other emotions. They are intelligent individuals.

* dear animals: plz be careful while crossing roads (look left look right, use traffic lights or overhead bridge) I believe ur children would not want to see their papa or mama with head smashed lying on the road
