Game of Cat-and-Mouse [Part I]

Breathtaking and thrilling is how i describe the watch of a Game of Cat-and-Mouse live this morning which happened around East West Link Highway, Taman Connaught. So who was the host of the entire game? Read on..

Today is one of the usual wednesday in which me and my friends went outside campus to get our lunch and satisfy our active taste buds after a morning lecture. The dim sum was lovely, the chinese tea tasted so mild and fresh....

*Burp* Excuse me

We were heading back to uni, chatting while walking across shoplots when we heard somebody shouting. We looked around to check if we could find what direction the voice was coming from. I was not surprised to see a guy (an indian wearing black) running...

- he was just rushing to get somewhere on time, i thought

.... but as soon as i saw a few men(chinese in office work clothing) chasing after, my brain logic department told something is not right here. Immediately, my eyes targeted the guy again, widened its view at the same time to frame both the moving objects.

The guy lari lintang-pukang; the men kejar also lintang-pukang. The guy turned back at times to see if the men could catch up with him; the men chased after shouting "ooooi!! oooooi!!.." The guy was young enough to run fast; the men were furious enough to go after. And just when the guy was about to jump into the big deep drain adjacent to the East West Link Highway, one of the men managed to grab his sleeve from behind within no time, the struggling between the Good and Evil thus continued for next few seconds, anyhow the Evil was able to escape by taking off his jacket.

- how do i know all these? Told ya, me and my friends witnessed the entire chase that happened just 50m away.

According to my friend she saw the man fished something out of the pocket of the jacket and inserted it back into his pocket, fortunately for him, he got his thing back.

- so you think this is the end of the story? Definitely not.

People started walking out from shop crowding around showing the what's happening!! weird facial expression. Everybody became so amicable and approachable out of the sudden, kindly sharing stories, like friends. hahaha!

- at the same time a malay woman rushed down the the stairs..

Malay woman: "Apa pasal?? Apa pasal nie?!! "

Us: "kena rompak..." (keeping an eye watching anxiously, wiping sweat)

Malay woman: "Mana......mana....." (trying hard to find where izit happening)

Us: "ne... kat situ....... yang pakai itam tu.." (pointing at the black figure)

- so where the h*ll did the guy go?

He went into the drain and climbed out on the other side but seemed like nobody was trying to stop him.

Being in the state of great agitation, we looked here and there to seek Hope.

Great one! We saw another guy, also wearing black outfit daringly followed, kept close distance with the guy, risked his life moving through the fast-flowing vehicle stream. BEEEEEEEE-BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP!!!!!!!! Drivers were cruising along having a blast when suddenly a guy runs out, then instinctively stomped on their brake, imagine the sound made by vehicles especially when doing panic braking at high speed, SSS-NGEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEETTT!!!!!! CHIBABOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMM!!!!!

- hahahahha! nola kidding.... forget the last part.. no car crash

- overall, the road was nothing but a total mess!

Both of them were in the middle of highway but it seemed as if the second guy wasn't doing anything to capture the first guy apart from merely approaching and walking after him... then we finally realized--- MAN HE'S THE COMRADE OF THE GUY!!! #&*()#$* !@#$%^&*

Frustratedly, angrily, dissapointingly, resentfully, we straightened our knee and lifted our chin and our heel off the floor so as to get a clearer picture of what happens next on.

Both of them now crossed the highway and got to the opposite site safely, started climbing the tall concrete block, trying to run away

- hey why the street looked so calm and peaceful over there, no passer-by, no onlooker, no pedestrian. Where is everybody???!!!

- NO NO NO NO NO..... hello people over there, do SOMETHING!! just ANYTHING!
