Hungry Ghost Festival celebration always reminds me the good old days when me and my childhood companions were sitting in a circle joining the old ladies, folding the gold and silver papers into yuanbao, offering prayers at night for the roaming spirits, as if it had been our habit to do so annually. Believe it or not, we (the Shoplot's-Kids) were popular among the old uncles and aunties due to our annual presence to stick around throughout the entire celebration. Years over years, the familiar faces alters with age: the uncles n aunties all look older, the kids are now dah besar panjang, going their separate ways, flying their own kites luu
Thanks to our human nature- old habit dies hard, until today, the Shoplot's-Kids(older version la) are still enthusiastic about this meaningful tradition. They still join the crowd to perform prayers, burn paper money as offering for the wandering souls (which are believed that they were not given a proper sendoff or status thus remained wandering all the time) And in the blink of an eye, the yearly Hungry Ghost Festival celebration had just ended. The flow was great, (excluding the live stage performance part!) as the situations were much more manageable and controllable compare to that of the other previous years. What makes this year rather different is that the presence of pure breeding seafood. Looked left- lil girls in mini skirt; Looked right- schooling boys with piercings in ears; Looked forward- lil boys in thick glittering jacket; Looked back- teenage girls in hot pants, HALO this is neither fashion stage nor Project Runway rite?! Teenagers nowadays..... sigh~!!
Counting a week back.... i was still preparing some important stuff for ma camp. Dive into the pool of reminiscence, we were all so excited working together towards the same goal, went w/o food for 30 straight hours to show support towards the children who go hungry.. (relate 'no food for 30hr' to the statement 'guys generally need more calories than girls', these guys have great tolerance for hunger like girls, seriously they earned my highest respect *salute salute*) To all devoted Faminators, thanks for making our 30-hr DIY Famine camp such joyful and memorable ^^
Well as for my result, i already gave myself a kiss and a well-done hand clap; At the same time, Congratz to all my classmates/coursemates who have done well in our previous exam and let's move on! :D

Half-deaf
Since monday morning, i have been half deaf, all of a sudden, this is not the first time. Reasons? Possibly water entered while having shower that brought about the blockage, but hey if this is the case, it should have dried off (at least a bit) rite; the same level of irritation shouldn't have persisted for more than 4 days rite? I've tried using earwax removal tool to unclog it to some degree but nothing changes, that's why i'm now here having little hearing in my right ear =.=
Having reduced ability to hear, only phrase/words that are spoken louder could be heard. All i've got to do is Link and Think (link the words and think up possible ideas of connecting the scattered words to bring about a logical full picture) which usually consumed more than 2 seconds before i reacted. Have a look at this example:
Class was about to start...
"Yday night............ homework.......... maths..........." shinlu spoke in her usual way but i only managed to hear these few terms although i've thrust my right ear as close as possible. Tiit tiit tiit... My logical department immediately started operating... Is she trying to ask anything bt our previous maths h/w? hasn't she complete the maths? or it's merely an expression? Tiit tiiiit tooot tiiiitt..toottt ttiit... (still operating) Tooooooott....!! (operation failed) I looked at her cluelessly- "Har?"
"friday....gathering......house....."
"break......14.......go...."
( XO i can't hear )
Situations were ridiculous and we could only hold back our laugh during class.
You know, when you have your best friend sitting next to you, there's some kind of energy comes from nowhere that always makes you want to talk talk and talk as if there's no tomorrow and the conversation could travel miles down the bottomless track. She talks, i talk, we both talk a lot :D But since i'm mute for these few days (when sometimes i couldn't even hear or respond), she tends to end up talking to herself and people would have thought that she's a patient with mental disorder hahah! *Ouch!* my conscience just whacked me, feel so bad now lol
Okaay so what have i been up to lately? Well being a part of the committee of a DIY 30hr famine camp, weekends had been fun in the past couple of weeks and i'm anticipating the day indeed. For whoever who has donated to help the children and families in need somewhere on earth, i thank you for your kindness.
Things we have been awaiting is finally approaching- Results! Yes, results, will be released shortly on next thursday. I'm sure that my coursemates are all excited, yet nervous. Still, good luck to everybuddy! (and to myself too)
Have a nice day!

Tuesday morning
Glanced at the clock, it said eight thirty-five, which is almost an hour before today's class started. Put on my socks, grabbed the last look of the familiar image in the mirror to check if there's any untidiness- Alright passed! Got my bag and books, headed downstairs, wore my sneakers- It's breakfast time.
Munching on my favorite breakfast cereal, reading the third line of an article in the newspaper...
Mom:"Your bro won't stay back today so wad time you'll be coming back arh?"
Think think.....class ends at 2pm... subjects: bio, chem.... amount of homework....alright...
I cleared my throat. "Two la."

Mom:"Later u got lunch break arh..."
(Ok when she raises this question, paying a visit to Maybank would be one of my activity that day)
Being a fast eater, i had my cereal bowl almost empty within 5 minutes. Stole a glance at the white clock on the wall, tidied up the newspapers, washed the dish.
"EPF payment arr?" I asked, as mom was busy filling in all those green colour slip in a hurried way while nodding as her response.
Looking dull, no smile nor glow in the face, leaning the wall.. (imagine chen wei in a totally lazy posture) I never liked tuesday and wednesday morning cz class starts at half-past-nine (u know, there's some kind of heavy feeling when waking up late with sunlight as if one-quarter of the day is gone and you couldn't find anything interesting enough to occupy your mind) That's why I always prefer to take classes early in the morning.
Utilizing their humour with a twist of madness, Hitz.fm morning crew jj and ean just got me laughing alone in the car almost every morning, with gotcha calls and sometimes my fav songs played on air, this is how my energy-boosting therapy takes place every morning =)
There was once a guy named Robert (if i'm not mistaken) called up for the hitz 5000 ringgit thing.. "YoYoYo! hitz five thousand rinngit says it's me man!!" this guy sounded very very excited, as if he's the winner lol, the conversation then went on.. Whatever it is, this guy just likes adding "man" at the back of every line he spoke. Although he was not the winner at the end, i'm still astonished at his spirit, the true morning spirit! that made him stand out among the rest. Haha! he just made my day.

Choose the correct answer.
Which factor(s) contribute to my presence in library almost everyday after class:
A) To complete homework as much as i could before going home
B) To wait for and fetch my lil sister/bro after they've finished their after-school activity/tuition class
C) Library is a chamber of knowledge with silence and peacefulness within, i just like to stay there
D) I don't wanna go home! for that moment
E) All of the above
Personally i define Home as a place where i can find peace. But lately my home doesn't look really like a home cz i can no longer look for quietness, instead circulation of sickening voice from the next door. I chosed to stay back so that i could spare my time doing revision at night, i have been such a good girl lately XP
Imagine cracking voice singing out of tune, sometimes with lack sense of rhythm, man i have to take this everyday! I do anticipate going home you know, but not as much as those days where i could feel the pleasant being at home. I walk upstairs with slower and heavier steps nowadays, reluctantly, as if there's some kind of force holding back my motion.
I'm not sure what brings me this kind of idea suddenly, i just want to traslate this piece of thought onto here--- There's this kind of people on earth who do nothing but only trying to wait for unexpected fortune a.k.a durian runtuh. If only i can help any of the holy spirit, i would want to give these people a surprise- a durian as they wish, a BIG BIG durian, falling right on top their head... chee ba boom!!! Newspaper headline for the next day: Young man die from a falling durian *clap hand clap hand* Lesson of the day, don't expect durian runtuh, or else you yourself will get runtuh-ed by durian.
K back, i visited friends' house sometimes and i found something i can hardly (maybe never have)--- Peace. Apparently there's less passing vehicles (zero passing vehicle in fact for houses within a closed residential area), no karaoke center, no operating-engine noise, in short no noise pollution.
Living in a shophouse is not all bad things anyway, apart from karaoke center section, the rest are awesome, as it used to be. The customers, the environment, the experience, they were my teachers throughout these growing years; The street, the life, the competition, they were the fuel that drives me here today.
What's your neighbour's surname? How often do you talk to them? Who's living next next next door? Ha only now you realized that you're not close with ya neighbour don't ya. Family to family connection, linked to formation of a big family, this is one of the advantage living in shophouse, it feels great and secure walking down the street cz everybody is already your friend, even family. I love my house, very much :)
Anyway E is the answer.
Enjoy your weekend people.
