The Smoky Festival

Hungry Ghost Festival celebration always reminds me the good old days when me and my childhood companions were sitting in a circle joining the old ladies, folding the gold and silver papers into yuanbao, offering prayers at night for the roaming spirits, as if it had been our habit to do so annually. Believe it or not, we (the Shoplot's-Kids) were popular among the old uncles and aunties due to our annual presence to stick around throughout the entire celebration. Years over years, the familiar faces alters with age: the uncles n aunties all look older, the kids are now dah besar panjang, going their separate ways, flying their own kites luu

Thanks to our human nature- old habit dies hard, until today, the Shoplot's-Kids(older version la) are still enthusiastic about this meaningful tradition. They still join the crowd to perform prayers, burn paper money as offering for the wandering souls (which are believed that they were not given a proper sendoff or status thus remained wandering all the time)
And in the blink of an eye, the yearly Hungry Ghost Festival celebration had just ended. The flow was great, (excluding the live stage performance part!) as the situations were much more manageable and controllable compare to that of the other previous years. What makes this year rather different is that the presence of pure breeding seafood. Looked left- lil girls in mini skirt; Looked right- schooling boys with piercings in ears; Looked forward- lil boys in thick glittering jacket; Looked back- teenage girls in hot pants, HALO this is neither fashion stage nor Project Runway rite?! Teenagers nowadays..... sigh~!!

Counting a week back.... i was still preparing some important stuff for ma camp. Dive into the pool of reminiscence, we were all so excited working together towards the same goal, went w/o food for 30 straight hours to show support towards the children who go hungry.. (relate 'no food for 30hr' to the statement 'guys generally need more calories than girls', these guys have great tolerance for hunger like girls, seriously they earned my highest respect *salute salute*) To all devoted Faminators, thanks for making our 30-hr DIY Famine camp such joyful and memorable ^^

Well as for my result, i already gave myself a kiss and a well-done hand clap; At the same time, Congratz to all my classmates/coursemates who have done well in our previous exam and let's move on! :D
